This updated rucksack is offered in Porter’s distinct three-layer construction: nylon twill shell, polyester and cotton fill, and nylon taffeta lining. The large main compartment is cinched at the top with woven drawstrings, concealing a zip sleeve pocket. The top flap closure is fastened with an O-ring and a self-fabric strap. The front of the bag features two 3D pouch pockets, fastened with concealed zippers. Side zip entry to the main compartment adds to ease of use, while a padded top carry handle and adjustable, padded shoulder straps complete the look. Made in Japan.
Since being introduced in 1983, PORTER’s synonymous “TANKER” series uses an original fabric developed with the motif of the US Air Force flight jacket “MA-1”. The three-layer fabric of nylon twill (front) + polyester cotton (intermediate layer) + nylon taffeta (back) is very light, and the soft feel of the bonding material and the bright rescue orange on the back are attractive. In every process from cutting to sewing and parts, we express thorough commitment.
Established in 1962, Porter Yoshida Kaban’s durable, practical and stylish military-inspired nylon bags are made exclusively in Japan. Fun fact: “kaban” is actually the Japanese word for “bag.”
