Converse and Todd have joined forces again to create a new capsule that’s a thoroughly modern mashup of streetwear (hoodies, joggers) and traditional gentleman’s fabrics (tartans, velours and British Millerain’s water-resistant waxed cotton). The collection, which includes rugby shirts, cardigans and trench coats, also features two Converse icons—the Chuck 70 and Jack Purcell—that are remade in a fabric more typically found on field clothing.
Here, one of Todd’s favorite sweater bodies–the cardigan–gets Purcell-ified. The racquet-pattern is a nod to Jack Purcell’s origin as a badminton pattern and the initials “TS” and “JP” appear throughout. The placket, cuffs and waist are gray with white tipping.
